“I started out in the Oak Timber industry in 1999, taking the obvious step from deep sea diving in the North Sea to manufacturing oak flooring in Slovakia (don’t ask!).
After a couple of years wishing I’d kept to diving, I formed the Oak Warehouse which specialised in everything oak for the home.
One of these homes led to our first commercial project which just so happened to be The British Museum in London and the Palace of Westminster (no pressure!).
By now, my wife was talking to me again and we opened a new showroom in Saltney displaying everything from oak windows to doors; flooring to stairs, skirting to architrave.
Going forward we have broadened our horizons by displaying at Grand Designs (our oak doors are in the Grand Designs Church project in Birmingham) and the National Home Improvement Exhibition.
This has led to us supplying our oak products throughout the country, France and Switzerland…. Next stop the North Sea!”.
